Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor Join AR Rahman at Hyderabad Concert to Celebrate Peddi Collaboration

Hyderabad witnessed an unforgettable musical night as Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor joined Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman at his Wonderment concert in Ramoji Film City to celebrate their upcoming film, Peddi. The evening was not only a treat for fans of Rahman’s timeless hits but also served as a grand celebration of this highly anticipated collaboration between the music maestro and the RRR star.

A packed crowd filled the venue as Rahman performed a mix of his Telugu and Hindi chartbusters, leading up to a surprise segment dedicated to Peddi. The newly released single “Chikiri” — the first track from the film’s soundtrack — was performed live for the first time, instantly igniting excitement among fans. The concert soon turned into a cinematic celebration as Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor made a surprise appearance on stage, drawing thunderous applause.

Rahman shared a glimpse of the event on Instagram with the caption:

“A surprise appearance by Ram Charan lit up the stage at the Wonderment concert in Hyderabad — one unforgettable night where music and stardom shared the spotlight.”

The moment became one of the evening’s highlights as Rahman introduced Ram Charan, who addressed the cheering audience.

“It’s been my childhood dream to collaborate with AR Rahman, and I’m thrilled that it’s finally happening with Peddi,” said Charan, visibly emotional as fans chanted his name.

Janhvi Kapoor, who stood beside the composer and her co-star, called it “a magical experience to see Rahman Sir perform live and to be a part of a project that brings together such incredible talent.”

Several clips from the concert went viral on social media, showing Rahman performing alongside his live orchestra while Ram Charan and Janhvi cheered him on from the stage. The video of the trio celebrating Peddi together has since flooded fan pages with excitement and praise.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is a rustic rural action drama that marks the first on-screen pairing of Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Vriddhi Cinemas, and Sukumar Writings, the film features AR Rahman’s music — his first full-fledged Telugu score in several years.

The first single, “Chikiri”, has already gained traction online for its energetic rhythm and soulful composition, hinting at another Rahman hit in the making.

Currently in its final leg of shooting, Peddi is set for a worldwide theatrical release on March 27, 2026 — coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday. Industry insiders are already predicting that the film could become one of the biggest Telugu releases of 2025–26, driven by its star power and Rahman’s electrifying music.

As Peddi continues to build momentum, Saturday’s concert proved one thing — when music, cinema, and stardom collide, the result is pure celebration.
