Actor Ranveer Singh and his wife Deepika Padukone marked the closing days of 2025 in New York, where they paid a special visit to celebrity chef Vikas Khanna’s restaurant. The festive meeting quickly caught attention online, blending cinema, celebration and culinary tradition.
A video shared by the restaurant on social media showed Vikas Khanna offering modaks to Ranveer and Deepika, with the title track of Dhurandhar playing in the background. The moment was positioned as a symbolic and auspicious way to welcome the new year.
In a caption accompanying the post, the restaurant described the occasion as a meaningful end to 2025 and announced that guests visiting the venue would be served pomegranate and cardamom modaks as part of New Year celebrations. The post also highlighted the continued global success of Dhurandhar.
Chef Vikas Khanna elaborated on the cultural significance of the modak, noting its association with auspicious beginnings, prosperity and wisdom. He also shared that the preparation held personal meaning, as the modaks were created using moulds sourced from the Siddhivinayak Temple.
