Sandeep Reddy Vanga Praises Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, Calls Film Powerful

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga has shared strong praise for Dhurandhar, lauding its performances, direction and storytelling approach. The director commended Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna for their immersive portrayals in the action drama helmed by Aditya Dhar.

Sharing his views on X, Vanga described Dhurandhar as a film that “moves with dominance and fierce clarity,” adding that it carries what he termed a “masculine spine.” He praised the film’s tightly controlled depiction of action, stating that the narrative unfolds with precision and without chaos.

Vanga also highlighted the film’s technical and creative strengths, noting that the music, screenplay, performances and direction are all “on the top.” He specifically applauded Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna for disappearing into their characters, calling their performances effortless and deeply impactful. Vanga further credited Aditya Dhar for capturing the emotional weight of untold sacrifices through disciplined filmmaking.

The remarks have reignited discussions around the portrayal of violence in Hindi cinema, a topic often associated with Vanga’s own work. However, his feedback emphasised that Dhurandhar balances intensity with clarity, making its action-driven narrative purposeful rather than excessive.

Beyond critical appreciation, Dhurandhar continues to dominate the box office. The film is nearing the ₹500 crore mark in India, with early estimates suggesting a collection of around ₹22.50 crore on Day 15 alone. Its India net earnings currently stand at approximately ₹483 crore, while worldwide collections have crossed ₹730 crore.

With sustained audience interest and strong word-of-mouth, Dhurandhar has emerged as one of the most talked-about Hindi action films of the year, reinforcing Ranveer Singh’s box office pull and Aditya Dhar’s position as a filmmaker to watch in the evolving action genre.
