Dhurandhar Crosses Rs 1,050 Crore, Becomes 7th Biggest Indian Film

Dhurandhar has stormed into Indian box office history, crossing the Rs 1,050 crore mark globally within just 24 days of its release. The blockbuster action thriller, led by Ranveer Singh, has now emerged as the seventh highest-grossing Indian film of all time.

On its fourth Sunday, December 28, the film’s worldwide collections touched approximately Rs 1,064 crore, allowing it to surpass the lifetime earnings of Pathaan and Kalki 2898 AD. The achievement further cements Dhurandhar’s position among the biggest Indian blockbusters ever.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has maintained a strong upward trajectory week after week. Its fourth weekend alone contributed around Rs 62 crore globally, underlining sustained audience interest well into its theatrical run.

At the domestic box office, Dhurandhar has collected a net Rs 690 crore in India, translating to a gross of over Rs 828 crore. Trade estimates suggest that the film is poised to cross the Rs 700-crore net milestone domestically in the coming days.

International markets have also played a crucial role in the film’s success. Benefiting from the Christmas holiday window, Dhurandhar has earned over $26 million overseas, significantly boosting its global total and pushing it past the coveted Rs 1,000-crore club.

On December 28 alone, the film reportedly added more than Rs 30 crore worldwide, helping it overtake the final box office tallies of major recent releases. With momentum still on its side, Dhurandhar is now inching closer to the lifetime collections of films like Jawan, KGF Chapter 2 and RRR, though the top spots remain occupied by Dangal and Baahubali 2.

The film stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian operative who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal underworld. The ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan in key roles.

With a sequel already announced, Dhurandhar: Part 2 is expected to release in March 2026, as the franchise continues its record-breaking run.
