Rhiya Ahir or Love Gill? Fans to Vote for Bigg Boss 20 Contestant Before Premiere

Model Rhiya Ahir and Punjabi actor-model Love Gill are competing for a possible entry into Bigg Boss 20, with viewers being given the opportunity to choose one of them through a fan vote.

The latest promotional video for the Salman Khan-hosted reality show reveals that the audience will have a role in selecting one contestant for the upcoming season. Viewers can vote for either Rhiya Ahir or Love Gill through the JioHotstar app.

Voting is currently open and will close on September 2 at 11.59 pm. The candidate receiving the most votes will get the opportunity to enter the Bigg Boss 20 house.

Rhiya Ahir gained widespread attention during student protests in Mumbai after a video showing her standing in front of a police van carrying detained protesters went viral on social media. The model became associated with the Cockroach Janta Party protests, with the footage drawing significant attention online.

Ahir later stated that her decision to stand in front of the vehicle was spontaneous. According to her account, she was near Dadar when she saw protesters being taken away and decided to intervene because she believed they were being detained unnecessarily.

The protests were linked to demonstrations over alleged irregularities in the education system and examination paper leaks. Several FIRs were subsequently registered in connection with the protests over allegations including unlawful assembly and violations of prohibitory orders.

Love Gill is a Punjabi actor and model who has worked in music videos, television and films. She began her career through music videos and later made her television debut with the Punjabi show Tu Patang Main Dor.

Gill has also appeared in Punjabi films and projects including Kuriyan Jawan Bapu Pareshan, Haterz, Vekhi Ja Chhedi Na and Furlow.

The final decision on which of the two candidates enters the Bigg Boss 20 house will be made through the audience vote. The upcoming season of the reality show is scheduled to premiere on September 6 on JioHotstar and Colors TV.
