Siddhu Jonnalagadda Announces New Film, Moves On From Kohinoor and Badass

Actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda has officially announced a new film, signalling a fresh start after months of uncertainty surrounding several delayed or stalled projects. Following the blockbuster success of DJ Tillu and Tillu Square, the actor had seen a quieter phase, prompting speculation about his next move.

The new project has been confirmed by Sithara Entertainments, which shared a pre-announcement poster on social media. The poster presents Siddhu in a high-energy, mass-oriented avatar, indicating a return to a more commercially driven space. The film is being positioned as a major collaboration and is expected to go on floors soon.

This marks Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s third collaboration with Sithara Entertainments, after the success of DJ Tillu and Tillu Square. The project is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and presented by Srikara Studios.

The film will be written and directed by Swaroop RSJ, best known for Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya. With Swaroop handling the story, screenplay and direction, the project is expected to lean towards a more grounded, narrative-driven approach while retaining mass appeal.

Meanwhile, Siddhu’s previously announced projects appear to have been put on hold. Kohinoor, a two-part devotional thriller directed by Ravikanth Perepu, has reportedly been shelved despite an early concept reveal. Another collaboration with the same director, Badass, also remains stalled.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda was last seen in Telusu Kada, a romantic drama directed by Neeraja Kona. With the new Sithara-backed project now officially announced, expectations are high that the actor is gearing up for a strong creative reset and a return to form.
