SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 Begins for 25,487 Posts: Apply Online at ssc.gov.in
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially begun the recruitment process for 25,487 General Duty (GD) Constable posts for the 2026 cycle. The vacancies span across the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Assam Rifles (Rifleman GD) roles.
Class 10 pass candidates can now apply online through ssc.gov.in, with the computer-based examination expected between February and April 2026.
Vacancy Distribution
Out of the total 25,487 posts:

23,467 are reserved for male candidates

2,020 for female candidates
Category-wise distribution includes:

SC: 3,702
-
ST: 2,313
-
OBC: 5,765
-
EWS: 2,605
-
UR: 11,102
Selected candidates will be deployed in forces such as BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, Assam Rifles, and SSF, under a Level-3 pay scale ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

Be 18–23 years old

Hold a Class 10 pass certificate

Eligible for age relaxation:

SC/ST: +5 years
-
OBC/Ex-servicemen: +3 years
-

Ex-servicemen must have served in the Regular Army, Navy or Air Force
-
NCC certificate holders will receive a 5% bonus in the scoring process
How to Apply
New applicants must complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the SSC portal.
After logging in with OTR credentials, candidates can fill out the GD Constable application form, pay the ₹100 fee, and submit the form to finalise their application for SSC GD 2026.
