Trump’s post was unusually direct and personal. Declaring he would no longer support Greene, he accused her of focusing more on constant complaints than on legislative work, despite what he described as his own “record achievements.” His message suggested deep frustration with her recent conduct and hinted that he now views her as a liability within the party.

According to Trump, the rupture began after he shared internal polling that indicated Greene lacked the support needed to mount a viable campaign for either governor or senator in Georgia. Trump also mocked Greene for appearing on ABC’s The View, criticizing the hosts and accusing Greene of drifting ideologically—a swipe that will likely intensify speculation about broader ideological fractures within the GOP’s populist wing.

The public rebuke marks a significant turning point for Greene, who built much of her political rise on unwavering loyalty to Trump. Her consistent defence of his policies and rhetoric helped elevate her into one of the most visible conservative voices in Congress.
