Yogi Adityanath Transfers ₹89.96 Crore in Scholarships to Nearly 4 Lakh Students

Lucknow, September 26, 2025 – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has disbursed ₹89.96 crore in scholarships to nearly 3.96 lakh students, reinforcing the state government’s commitment to inclusive and timely educational support. The announcement came during a scholarship distribution event in Lucknow on Friday.

During the event, CM Yogi highlighted the government’s emphasis on ensuring that education remains accessible to all sections of society. “Education is a fundamental right, and the New Education Policy introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2020 has made it more inclusive. Soon, a ‘One Nation, One Scholarship’ system will be launched, which will allow students to receive scholarships instantly at the time of admission,” he said.

Addressing Past Inequities

CM Yogi also pointed out how earlier governments failed to provide timely aid, especially for Scheduled Tribe students. “Before 2017, many students from Scheduled Tribes were either denied or faced significant delays in receiving their scholarships due to incomplete data. Today, over four lakh students are benefitting on time. Pending payments will be cleared before Diwali, and strict accountability will be fixed on officials responsible for any delays,” he asserted.

Role of Prime Minister Modi

The Chief Minister credited Prime Minister Modi for transforming the educational landscape of the country. Sharing his views on social media, he wrote: “Education is key to achieving Sustainable Development Goals. Over the last 11 years, scholarships and fee reimbursement schemes under PM Modi’s leadership have created new opportunities for underprivileged students.”

A Festive Gesture

Marking the auspicious occasion of Shardiya Navratri, CM Yogi extended his congratulations and warm wishes to all scholarship recipients, encouraging them to pursue their studies with dedication and optimism. “Heartiest congratulations to all students, and best wishes for a bright and successful future,” he said.

This initiative highlights the government’s effort to strengthen the education system in Uttar Pradesh and ensure that financial barriers do not hold back talented students from achieving their academic goals.
