Ayodhya Ram Mandir Sees Massive Devotee Rush Ahead of New Year Celebrations

A massive influx of devotees was witnessed at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as preparations intensified ahead of New Year celebrations, prompting heightened security and elaborate crowd management arrangements.

From early morning, thousands of pilgrims thronged the temple premises to seek blessings, with visuals showing devotees of all ages, including elderly worshippers and those arriving on wheelchairs, reflecting the deep spiritual significance of the occasion. Authorities implemented barricading, regulated entry points and deployed additional police personnel to ensure smooth movement and safety amid the surge.

The local administration said arrangements were made keeping in mind the expected rise in footfall during the year-end festivities. Surveillance measures were strengthened, and medical teams were kept on standby to respond to any emergencies.

The visit of senior leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has also led to tighter security. Both leaders are scheduled to attend a flag-hoisting ceremony in Ayodhya, further adding to the administrative focus on security and logistics.

The gathering coincides with the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the temple’s spiritual journey. Devotees said beginning the New Year with prayers at the Ram Mandir holds special importance, symbolising faith, hope and renewal.

Officials said crowd movement and safety will continue to be closely monitored as Ayodhya remains one of the focal points of religious activity during the New Year period.
