The Karnataka SSLC Timetable 2027 has been released by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) for Exam 1 and Exam 2. According to the announced schedule, the first examination will begin on March 22, 2027, while the second is scheduled to start on May 24, 2027. The timetables provide subject-wise examination dates, timings, subject codes and maximum marks to help Class 10 students prepare in advance.
SSLC Exam 1 will begin with the first-language papers on March 22. The examinations will continue across March and early April, with papers scheduled on March 25, March 27, March 30 and April 2, among other dates. March 23 and 24 have been listed as holidays in the Exam 1 schedule.
Exam 2 will commence with first-language papers on May 24 and continue through May 31. Students should carefully check the timetable for their subjects and confirm the applicable examination dates and timings.
Karnataka SSLC 2027 Exam Timings
KSEAB has specified different examination durations depending on the subject category.
First-language, core subject and Junior Technical School (JTS) examinations will be held from 10 am to 1:15 pm. Second- and third-language papers will take place from 10 am to 1 pm.
Students will receive 15 minutes to read the question paper before beginning their answers. First-language, core subject and JTS examinations will have three hours of writing time, while second- and third-language papers will allow two hours and 45 minutes.
National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) examinations will be conducted from 10 am to 12:15 pm. These papers will include two hours of writing time and 15 minutes for reading the question paper.
JTS Practical Exams and Special Subject Guidelines
The practical and oral examinations for JTS subjects carrying codes 56, 57, 58 and 59 will be conducted at the respective schools. The practical examinations for Exam 1 are scheduled for April 6, 2027, while those for Exam 2 will take place on June 1, 2027.
Subject codes 15 and 60 are applicable only to students enrolled in Adarsha Vidyalayas. Candidates should verify the codes relevant to their schools before their examinations.
Hindustani and Carnatic Music examinations will be held from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The theory component will run from 2 pm to 3:45 pm, followed by practical examinations from 3:45 pm to 5:15 pm.
Extra Time for Differently Abled Students
The timetable guidelines also provide additional examination time for differently abled students, based on the duration of the paper.
- Three-hour papers: 60 minutes extra
- Two-and-a-half-hour papers: 50 minutes extra
- Two-hour papers: 40 minutes extra
- One-and-a-half-hour papers: 30 minutes extra
