Malti Chahar Denies Dating Amaal Mallik, Calls Bigg Boss 19 Rumours Baseless
Bigg Boss 19 contestant Malti Chahar has firmly shut down rumours linking her romantically with singer-composer Amaal Mallik, stating that there was never any relationship between them. Addressing the speculation, Malti clarified that the assumptions gained traction due to misleading narratives during her time on the reality show.
Taking to social media, Malti explained that she met Amaal only once before entering the Bigg Boss house and that they stayed in touch briefly over phone calls thereafter. She emphasised that there was no romantic involvement and said her remarks on the show were misunderstood. According to her, when she chose not to speak about “outside matters,” it was only to respect personal boundaries and privacy.
Malti also expressed disappointment over comments attributed to Amaal during the show, saying she became aware of them only after her eviction from Bigg Boss 19. She stated that she had been empathetic during conversations, especially when mental health was discussed, but felt uncomfortable with the narrative that followed. The actor urged viewers and media to stop associating her name with dating speculation.
The rumours intensified after Malti contradicted claims that their meeting lasted only a few minutes, revealing instead that the interaction was longer. This led to fan theories suggesting a romantic angle, which Malti has now categorically denied.
She has previously reiterated that knowing someone briefly does not amount to dating, adding that there was never a phase of a relationship between them. With her latest clarification, Malti has once again requested that the speculation be put to rest.
