Mathura Janmasthan Trust Files Fraud and Extortion Complaint Against Falahari Maharaj

Mathura Janmasthan Trust Files Fraud and Extortion Complaint Against Falahari Maharaj

A fresh controversy has emerged in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura after the Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan filed a police complaint against Dinesh Sharma, popularly known as Dinesh Falahari Maharaj or Falahari Baba. The trust has accused him of fraud, extortion, and attempts to tarnish the institution's reputation.

The development comes amid an escalating dispute over the management and use of donations received by the religious institution. The complaint marks a significant turn in the ongoing disagreement between the trust and the religious figure, drawing attention from devotees and local authorities alike.

Trust Alleges Fraud and Defamation

According to officials associated with the Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan, the complaint filed with police contains allegations of fraud, extortion, and efforts to defame the trust. The institution claims that certain actions and statements made by Falahari Maharaj have harmed its reputation and created confusion among devotees.

The trust has urged authorities to investigate the matter and take appropriate legal action based on the allegations presented in the complaint.

As of now, the allegations remain under legal scrutiny, and authorities are expected to examine the claims before determining the next course of action.

Row Intensifies Over Donation Management Allegations

The latest complaint comes shortly after Falahari Maharaj sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the functioning of the Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan.

In his communication to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he reportedly raised concerns regarding the management of donations received by the trust and called for an independent investigation into the institution's financial affairs.

His demand for a probe triggered a sharp response from the trust, which has strongly rejected the allegations and accused him of attempting to damage its image.

Religious Institution at the Centre of Controversy

The Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan manages one of the most prominent religious sites associated with Lord Krishna's birthplace in Mathura. The temple complex attracts millions of devotees from across India and abroad every year, making it one of the most significant pilgrimage destinations in the country.

Given the institution's religious importance, the dispute has attracted considerable public attention, particularly among devotees and members of the Hindu community.

Legal Proceedings Likely to Continue

With allegations and counter-allegations now formally reaching law enforcement authorities, the matter is expected to move into a legal and investigative phase. Police may review documents, statements, and evidence submitted by both sides before taking further action.

The controversy highlights growing tensions surrounding transparency, donation management, and governance within religious institutions. As investigations proceed, stakeholders will be closely watching developments in what has become one of the most talked-about religious disputes in Mathura.

Neither the allegations made by the trust nor the concerns raised by Falahari Maharaj have been judicially established, and the matter remains under investigation.
