The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the School Academic Performance Report Card for all CBSE-affiliated institutions for the 2024–25 academic session. This initiative marks a major step toward fostering data-driven educational planning, enabling schools to evaluate their academic and extracurricular outcomes with greater precision and accountability.
The newly released report provides a comprehensive analysis of each school’s performance in the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. It compares individual school outcomes with both state and national averages, helping institutions assess their academic position against established CBSE benchmarks. By identifying key strengths and performance gaps, schools can make informed decisions to enhance their teaching-learning processes.
In a significant move, CBSE has expanded the scope of the report beyond examination scores. The 2024–25 performance card now includes gender-based academic trends and sports participation data — an effort to highlight equity, inclusion, and all-round development as essential educational goals.
The Board’s inclusion of sports metrics marks a shift toward holistic evaluation, aligning with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It captures student participation and achievements at cluster, zonal, and national levels, showcasing the balance between academics and physical education.
Gender-specific insights, meanwhile, are expected to encourage schools to address disparities in performance and participation, fostering a more inclusive and equitable learning environment.
School heads can access and download their respective performance reports via the CBSE School Login Portal using official credentials. The Board has urged schools to incorporate these findings into their Annual Pedagogical Plans, ensuring that classroom strategies and institutional initiatives are guided by actual data rather than assumptions.
This analytical framework is designed to help schools understand their academic standing, monitor progress over time, and implement targeted interventions where improvement is needed.
CBSE emphasized that this step reaffirms its commitment to transparency, accountability, and holistic education as envisioned under NEP 2020. The integration of academic performance with co-scholastic indicators like sports and gender trends reflects a broader vision of nurturing well-rounded learners equipped for both intellectual and social success.
