Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Day 9: Harshvardhan Rane-Sonam Bajwa Film Crosses Rs 51 Crore Despite Competition

Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic thriller “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat” continues to impress at the Indian box office, maintaining a steady pace even in its second week. The film has crossed the Rs 51 crore mark in just nine days, holding strong against the competition from Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s “Thamma.”

According to early trade estimates by Sacnilk.com, the film collected Rs 2.22 crore on Day 9 (Thursday), taking its total India nett collection to Rs 51.72 crore. The Milap Zaveri directorial opened strongly with Rs 9 crore on Day 1 and has since shown resilience across multiplexes and single screens alike.

The movie’s weekday performance has been consistent — with Rs 7.75 crore on Wednesday, Rs 6 crore on Thursday, and a minor dip to Rs 5.5 crore on Friday. Over the weekend, collections picked up again with Rs 6.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 7 crore on Sunday. Week two began moderately with Rs 3.5 crore on Monday, followed by a partial rebound at Rs 4.5 crore on Tuesday.

In terms of regional performance, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, and Jaipur have contributed the most, with average occupancies ranging between 13–15% nationwide. Pune (18.67%) and Lucknow (19%) recorded the highest turnout, while cities like Hyderabad and Bhopal saw slower footfalls under 10%. Afternoon and evening shows drew bigger crowds, particularly in Maharashtra and Gujarat circuits.

The film’s intriguing storyline has played a significant role in sustaining its box office performance. As per the official synopsis, “When a strong-willed superstar falls in love with a powerful politician, their passionate romance swiftly turns into a dangerous game of obsession, pride, and heartbreak.”

Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film stars Harshvardhan Rane as politician Vikramaditya Bhonsle and Sonam Bajwa as actress Adaa Randhawa. Their volatile chemistry and the film’s emotional intensity have been widely appreciated by audiences, driving repeat viewership in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.

With positive word of mouth and steady ticket sales, “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat” is expected to maintain its box office momentum through the coming weekend.
