After a three-week battle involving 32 teams, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 has reached its final stage, with Haryana and Jharkhand set to clash for the title in Pune on Wednesday, December 18. The summit clash will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, where two of the tournament’s most consistent sides will compete for the trophy.
Both teams earned their places in the final by finishing at the top of their respective Super League groups, underlining their dominance throughout the competition.
Haryana, led by Ankit Kumar, finished second in Group C with five wins from seven matches, suffering defeats only against Gujarat and Puducherry. They carried that momentum into the Super League, where they topped Group A with victories over Hyderabad and Rajasthan.
Jharkhand, captained by Ishan Kishan, have been the most dominant side of the tournament. They topped Group D with a perfect record, winning all eight matches. In Super League Group B, they defeated Madhya Pradesh and Punjab, with their only loss coming against Andhra.
