According to the official timetable, both examinations will be conducted on July 28, 2026, while practical examinations and internal assessments for eligible candidates will begin in mid-July.
The announcement brings clarity for thousands of students who applied online to improve their scores or clear subjects they could not pass in the main board examinations.

Regional offices of the UP Board will appoint examiners to supervise the practical examinations and ensure uniform evaluation across centres.
The UP Board has directed District School Inspectors (DIOS) to ensure smooth and transparent conduct of both practical and written examinations.
Schools designated as examination centres will be required to follow all board guidelines, including surveillance measures and administrative protocols aimed at maintaining fairness throughout the examination process.
Centre administrators will be appointed to oversee examination arrangements and ensure compliance with board instructions.
The examinations are meant for students who have already submitted online applications under the compartment or improvement categories.
