Fifteen years after Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara became one of Bollywood's most loved friendship films, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar has confirmed that discussions around a sequel are underway.
Speaking at the Monsoon Film Festival, Zoya said the team is exploring a follow-up to the 2011 film but stressed that the project is still at an early stage.
The filmmaker's comments will likely reignite excitement among fans who have been waiting to see Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol reunite as Arjun, Imran and Kabir.
However, there is currently no confirmed release date or official production announcement for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2.
Zoya Akhtar confirms ZNMD sequel is being considered
The possibility of a sequel gained momentum after the three lead actors reunited for a 2025 Yas Island advertisement.
Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol appearing together once again immediately reminded fans of their characters from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
The reunion also sparked widespread speculation that a second film could be in development.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the Monsoon Film Festival, Zoya confirmed that the team is considering the idea.
“We are on it,” she said.
