Dussehra 2025: Bobby Deol to Perform Raavan Dahan at Delhi’s Red Fort Ramlila
Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is set to perform the Raavan Dahan ceremony at Delhi’s Red Fort on October 2, as part of the Luv Kush Ramlila celebrations for Dussehra 2025.
The Luv Kush Ramlila Committee has invited Deol to participate in this iconic ritual, which celebrates the triumph of good over evil. Organisers believe that his presence will make this year’s event even more spectacular, attracting larger crowds to the historic Red Fort grounds, which already draws lakhs of devotees each year.
Celebrating 30 years in the film industry, Bobby Deol was recently seen in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut ‘Ba*ds of Bollywood’**. The actor expressed his excitement about being part of the centuries-old tradition, calling it a “delight to participate in a ceremony that celebrates good over evil.”
Arjun Kumar, President of the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee, highlighted that Deol’s participation would enhance public engagement and elevate the event’s profile.
The Raavan Dahan ritual, central to Dussehra, involves the symbolic burning of the Raavan effigy to commemorate Lord Rama’s victory in the Ramayana. Last year, Bollywood personalities like Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn took part in the ceremony, adding glamour to the traditional festivities.
