JP Nadda Chairs First Meeting of New BJP Team, Focus on 2027 Polls and Gen Z Outreach

Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda is set to chair the first meeting of the party's newly appointed team following a major organisational reshuffle.

The meeting will bring together senior BJP leaders and office-bearers to discuss the party's organisational roadmap, upcoming political programmes and preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections.

Among those expected to attend are National Organisational General Secretary BL Santhosh, programme in-charge Vinod Tawde, state BJP presidents, state in-charges and organisational general secretaries.

Focus on BJP's 2027 Election Strategy

A major focus of the meeting will be the BJP's strategy for the Assembly elections scheduled in several states in 2027.

The newly formed team is expected to begin preparing organisational and political blueprints for election-bound states. Discussions may include strengthening booth-level networks, improving coordination between central and state units and identifying key voter groups.

The preparation of Sankalp Patras, or election manifestos, for states heading to the polls is also expected to be part of the party's broader planning.

Gen Z Outreach Among Key Challenges

One of the key organisational challenges identified for the BJP's new team is expanding its engagement with Gen Z voters.

Political parties are increasingly focusing on younger voters, particularly through digital platforms, campus outreach and issue-based campaigns.

The BJP is expected to discuss ways to build a stronger connection with first-time and younger voters as part of its long-term electoral strategy.

Punjab and Uttar Pradesh Likely to Be Key Focus Areas

The party's strategy for Punjab is expected to feature prominently in discussions surrounding the upcoming electoral cycle.

Strengthening the BJP's organisational footprint in Uttar Pradesh, one of India's most politically significant states, is also expected to be among the priorities for the new leadership team.

Managing internal coordination and addressing factional challenges within state units may also form part of the organisational agenda.

Modi at 25 Celebrations Also on Agenda

The meeting is also expected to discuss a nationwide programme around the "Modi at 25" celebrations.

Party leaders are likely to coordinate programmes and campaigns across states as part of the larger organisational outreach initiative.

The first meeting of the newly appointed BJP team is expected to set the tone for the party's organisational strategy in the coming months as it prepares for a series of important state elections.
