The Alias Rukmini release date has been confirmed as December 4, 2026, with the upcoming Telugu film set for a worldwide theatrical release. Actor Nani has joined the project as presenter, adding to the anticipation surrounding Nithiin’s latest film. The makers have also announced that further details about the character Rukmini will be revealed on October 13.
Nani shared the announcement on social media, describing Alias Rukmini as the “most beautiful Telugu film of the year”. The statement has added to the curiosity generated by the film’s title glimpse, released in August.
What Is Alias Rukmini About?
Written and directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, the film is produced by Deepthi Ganta under the banner of Unanimous Productions. The makers have offered limited details about the storyline, using a cryptic message referencing Krishna’s love story to build interest.
The title glimpse features a conversation between Nani and director Murali about a story involving Krishna. Nithiin is then shown asleep in a chair, while books with sensual themes appear in the scene.
Nani notices that the books seem to have been written by someone named Rukmini and questions the director about the character. Nithiin subsequently wakes up and reveals that Rukmini is his wife. The exchange ends with Nani expressing approval of the story and asking when filming can begin.
The unusual introduction has left audiences curious about the relationship between the characters and the film’s broader narrative.
Shooting and Technical Team
The film’s first shooting schedule was completed in September. The 10-day schedule reportedly covered important scenes featuring Nithiin, Sai Kumar, Harsha Vardhan and other cast members.
The technical team includes cinematographer Jomon T John and music composer Vijai Bulganin. Srujana Adusumilli is handling editing, while Rekha Boggarrapu is responsible for costumes. Ramana Madhavaram serves as co-director.
Nithiin has also expressed confidence in the project’s appeal, saying the story is intended to connect emotionally with audiences.
More Details Expected on October 13
With Nani presenting the film and its December release date confirmed, attention is now turning to the next announcement. The makers have promised additional information about Rukmini on October 13, which could offer audiences a clearer understanding of the central character.
For now, Alias Rukmini is building anticipation through its unusual title glimpse, the involvement of Nani and its scheduled December 4 theatrical release.
