S-400 India Delivery: 4th System by May, Final by Year-End

India is set to receive the fourth squadron of the S-400 Triumf by May 2026, marking a significant milestone in strengthening its air defence capabilities.

The delivery is expected to coincide with the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, during which the system reportedly played a key role in countering aerial threats.

Final Squadron Expected by End of 2026

The fifth and final squadron of the S-400 Triumf is likely to be delivered by the end of the year.

Under the 2018 agreement between India and Russia, a total of five S-400 squadrons are being procured to enhance national security.

Current Deployment Status

So far, India has already received and operationalised three S-400 systems. These systems are strategically deployed to provide multi-layered air defence coverage against potential threats.

The addition of the fourth and fifth squadrons will further strengthen India’s defensive network.
