Thalapathy Vijay charms fans during warm welcome in Malaysia ahead of Jana Nayagan audio launch
Actor Thalapathy Vijay received a heartfelt welcome in Malaysia ahead of the audio launch of his upcoming film Jana Nayagan, an event that also marks his final public appearance as an actor before transitioning fully into politics.
Vijay arrived in Malaysia on Friday, a day before the grand audio launch scheduled for December 27. At the airport, Malaysian dancers greeted him with a traditional performance. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander accompanied the actor, with security personnel and members of the film’s team present during the arrival.
A video from the welcome has since gone viral on social media, showing Vijay holding a Bluetooth speaker for the dancers as they performed. The actor was also seen waving and thanking them, drawing praise from fans for his warm and respectful gesture.
Another video circulating online showed Jana Nayagan director H Vinoth, actor Mamitha Baiju, and the film’s producers arriving in Malaysia ahead of the event.
The audio launch is set to take place at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, which can accommodate close to 85,000 attendees. The event has been divided into two segments — Thalapathy Thiruvizha, a tribute concert featuring around 30 singers, followed by the official audio launch with speeches from Vijay, the director, and the cast and crew.
Several prominent names from the Tamil film industry, including Atlee, Nelson Dilipkumar, and Prabhu Deva, have also arrived in Malaysia for the occasion.
The event is expected to be emotional for fans, as it will feature Vijay’s final speech as an actor before he begins his full-time political journey.
