While selected guests and political insiders were seen clicking photographs with the Argentine superstar inside the venue, large numbers of fans were denied entry and remained confined outside the stadium.
Roy’s broadcast pointed to what he described as a clear abuse of privilege, where political influence overshadowed public enthusiasm. The report also mentioned the presence of actress Subhashree Ganguly among those who gained access, further fuelling criticism over preferential treatment.
