Virat Kohli Surpasses Shubman Gill in ICC ODI Rankings; Rohit Sharma Firm at No. 1

Virat Kohli has climbed above India captain Shubman Gill in the latest ICC ODI rankings, following his match-winning century against South Africa in Ranchi. Rohit Sharma continues to hold the No. 1 ODI batter ranking, further strengthening his lead at the top.

Kohli delivered a classic performance in the second ODI, scoring 135 off 120 balls, anchoring India to a strong total of 349. His 136-run partnership with Rohit Sharma laid the foundation for India’s 17-run victory.

The century pushed Kohli to 4th place with 751 rating points, overtaking Gill’s 738 points. He is now just 32 points behind Rohit, who leads the table with 783 points. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell follows the Indian captain but could not close the gap this week.

Kohli's return to ODI cricket has once again highlighted his consistency and dominance, while Rohit maintains remarkable form at the top.
