Delhi Scholarship 2026 Apply: SC ST OBC Students Can Apply Till April 30

The Delhi Government has started accepting applications for multiple scholarship schemes for the academic year 2025–26. These schemes are designed to support students from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Class (OBC) categories across school and higher education levels.

Eligible students can apply through the official e-district portal before the deadline of April 30.

Financial Support for School Students (Class 1 to 12)

Under these schemes, students studying in recognised schools can receive reimbursement of tuition fees and other mandatory charges. This benefit is available to students from families with an annual income of up to Rs 3 lakh.

Additionally, the Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojana provides direct financial support:

  • Class 9–10: Rs 5,000 per year
  • Class 11–12: Rs 10,000 per year

Students must meet attendance and academic performance criteria to qualify.


Scholarships for Higher and Professional Education

Students pursuing higher education, including technical and professional courses, are also eligible for financial assistance.

  • Scholarship Amount: Rs 8,000 to Rs 24,000 per year
  • Eligibility: Minimum 60% marks in previous exams
  • Coverage: Hostellers and day scholars

To reward academic excellence, the government also offers the Dr B R Ambedkar State Topper Award, under which top-performing students can receive Rs 25,000.


Support for Studying Abroad

The Delhi government has extended financial assistance for SC students who wish to pursue postgraduate or PhD studies abroad.

  • Annual Support: Up to Rs 5 lakh
  • Maximum Limit:
    • Rs 10 lakh (Master’s)
    • Rs 20 lakh (PhD)

Applicants must meet income, age, and academic eligibility criteria.
