India’s star duo Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah earned admiration after gifting signed jerseys to Netherlands players following India’s victory in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup match in Ahmedabad.
After the match, the Indian players stayed back on the field to interact with the Dutch squad, sharing jerseys as a gesture of respect and sportsmanship.
The moment quickly gained attention among fans, highlighting camaraderie beyond competition.
India Finish Group Stage Unbeaten
India defeated Netherlands national cricket team by 17 runs to complete a perfect group-stage campaign, winning all four matches and securing a place in the Super 8 stage.
The win reinforced India’s strong form heading into the knockout phase.
Hardik Pandya’s Crucial All-Round Contribution
Pandya played an important role in the victory with a valuable all-round performance.
He scored 30 runs off 21 balls, adding late momentum alongside Shivam Dube to help India post a competitive total of 193.
With the ball, Pandya claimed one wicket while conceding 40 runs, including a costly 19th over, but India had built enough cushion to defend the target.
Bumrah Delivers Another Controlled Spell
Bumrah once again anchored India’s bowling attack with precision and control.
He bowled three economical overs for 17 runs and dismissed Netherlands captain Scott Edwards at a crucial stage of the chase.
His disciplined spell helped India maintain control as the Netherlands fought deep into the innings.
Netherlands Show Fight but India Hold Firm
The Dutch side showed resilience and continued to attack late in the chase. However, India’s bowlers held their nerve to secure victory and maintain momentum ahead of the next stage.
Super 8 Clash Against South Africa Awaits
