iPhone 17 Pro at Rs 69,990 After iPhone 18 Pro Launch: Should You Buy?

Apple’s launch of the iPhone 18 Pro series has made the previous-generation iPhone 17 Pro more attractive for buyers looking to save money. A new Croma offer brings the effective price of the iPhone 17 Pro 256GB model down to Rs 69,990, subject to exchange and bank benefits.

The iPhone 17 Pro is currently listed at Rs 1,30,490, which is Rs 4,410 below its original India launch price of Rs 1,34,900. Buyers can get another Rs 4,000 off through eligible bank offers, reducing the effective price to Rs 1,26,490.

The biggest reduction comes through an exchange offer. Customers can receive up to Rs 44,500 for an eligible older smartphone, depending on its condition. An additional exchange bonus of Rs 12,000 takes the effective price down to Rs 69,990. The iPhone 17 Pro Max can similarly be purchased for as little as Rs 74,990.

Despite being a year old, the iPhone 17 Pro remains a capable device. It features an aluminium unibody design, Apple's A19 Pro chip, a vapour cooling chamber and three 48-megapixel rear cameras covering the main, ultrawide and 4x telephoto lenses. It also has an 18-megapixel front camera, matching the iPhone 18 Pro.

However, buyers should also consider the newer iPhone 18 Pro, which starts at Rs 1,64,900 in India. Pre-orders begin September 12 and sales start September 18, with an exchange bonus of Rs 12,000. For buyers on a tighter budget, the discounted iPhone 17 Pro remains the more affordable Pro option.
