Love & War First Look: Ranbir Kapoor Sports Vintage Avatar

The makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War have unveiled Ranbir Kapoor’s first look from the upcoming film, offering a glimpse of his retro-inspired character. The poster features Ranbir seated behind the wheel of a vintage turquoise convertible, dressed in a light-coloured knit polo shirt with slicked-back hair, a pencil moustache and round sunglasses.

The otherwise composed appearance is contrasted by a bruised and bloodied left arm resting outside the car, adding a darker element to the vintage setting. Old-style architecture and classic cars in the background further establish the film’s period-inspired visual world.

The poster also confirms that Love & War is scheduled to release in theatres on January 21, 2027. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.

Love & War marks Ranbir’s reunion with Bhansali after Saawariya, which marked the actor’s debut in 2007. Bhansali is directing and producing the project.

The film is planned for a worldwide release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Netflix is listed as its streaming partner, while IMAX is among its associated partners. The first look marks the beginning of the film’s promotional rollout as the makers introduce its characters and visual setting ahead of the theatrical release.
