Love & War Update: Alia Bhatt Calls Working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali Magical

Alia Bhatt has shared a fresh update on her much-anticipated film Love & War, revealing that the project is nearing completion. The actor described her experience of working with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali as “magical” and expressed gratitude for collaborating with him once again.

Alia spoke about the film during her recent appearance at Milan Fashion Week, where she attended as a global ambassador for Gucci. Dressed in a black leather trench coat and oversized sunglasses, she represented the luxury brand at the prestigious international fashion event. In a video interaction with Vogue Italia, the actor reflected on balancing her film commitments with global appearances.

During the conversation, Alia shared that this was her second visit to Milan in six months and expressed her admiration for the city’s culture, people and cuisine. Speaking about Love & War, she confirmed that the film is in its final stages of shooting.

She said that working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a rare opportunity and described the filmmaking journey as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The collaboration marks her second project with Bhansali after the critically acclaimed Gangubai Kathiawadi, a performance that earned her the National Award for Best Actress.

Love & War also features Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, making it one of the most awaited Bollywood films in recent times. The casting of three major stars under Bhansali’s direction has generated significant excitement among fans.

However, the film’s release schedule has undergone multiple changes. Initially announced for a Christmas 2025 release, it was later shifted to March 20, 2026. Earlier this year, reports suggested that the film may now release in 2027. During a social media interaction, Ranbir Kapoor confirmed that the postponement reports were accurate but did not announce a revised release date.

Despite the uncertainty around its theatrical debut, anticipation for Love & War remains strong. Bhansali is known for his grand storytelling, elaborate sets and emotionally intense narratives, and fans are expecting another visually spectacular cinematic experience.

With filming now in its final phase, Love & War moves one step closer to completion, further building curiosity around what promises to be a major Bollywood release in the coming years.
