SBI PO Main Result 2025 Declared: Direct Link, Next Stage Details and Salary Overview

The State Bank of India has announced the Probationary Officer (PO) Main Examination Result 2025 on its official website, sbi.co.in. Candidates who appeared in the exam on September 13 can now download their results and begin preparing for the next stage of the recruitment cycle.

This year, the recruitment drive aims to fill 541 PO vacancies, comprising 500 regular positions and 41 backlog posts. With the declaration of the Main Result, shortlisted candidates move closer to the final appointment phase.


How to Check SBI PO Main Result 2025

Candidates can access their results through the following steps:

  1. Visit sbi.co.in

  2. Click on the Careers section

  3. Select Current Openings

  4. Open the SBI PO Recruitment tab

  5. Click on Main Exam Result

  6. Log in using registration details

  7. Download and save the result


Next Stage: Psychometric Test, Interview & Group Exercises

Those who clear the Main Examination are now eligible for Phase 3, which includes:

  • Psychometric Test

  • Interview Round

  • Group Exercises

The Psychometric Test will assess behavioural traits, analytical style, and decision-making patterns. Its results will be shared with the interview board to assist in evaluating each candidate’s overall suitability for the officer role.

Admit cards for the next stage will be released soon. Candidates will also receive email and SMS notifications with further instructions.

It is important to remember that marks from the Preliminary Exam are not included in the final merit. The Main Examination and the Phase 3 assessments together determine final selection.


Salary and Allowances for SBI Probationary Officers

The starting basic pay for an SBI PO is ₹27,620, which includes four advance increments. Officers fall under the salary structure:

₹23,700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020

Along with basic pay, POs receive several allowances:

  • Dearness Allowance

  • House Rent Allowance

  • City Compensatory Allowance

  • Medical benefits

  • Other perks in line with bank norms

Depending on posting location and additional benefits, the annual compensation ranges between ₹7.55 lakh and ₹12.93 lakh.


Selection Process Overview

SBI’s PO recruitment comprises three stages:

  • Phase 1: Preliminary Exam (qualifying)

  • Phase 2: Main Exam

  • Phase 3: Psychometric Test + Interview + Group Exercises

The combination of performance in the Main Exam and Phase 3 determines the final list of Probationary Officers for India's largest public sector bank.
