The SBI Clerk Mains Exam is tentatively scheduled for November 17, 2025, according to the official update. Only candidates who qualify in the Preliminary round are eligible to appear in this phase.
The Mains examination will assess candidates across four sections:
General/Financial Awareness
General English
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude
The paper will carry a total of 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours and 40 minutes. Post this phase, a local language proficiency test worth 20 marks will be conducted for final selection.
SBI has confirmed that call letters for the Mains exam will be made available for download approximately 10 days before the exam date.
Candidates must bring the following documents to the exam centre:
Authenticated Preliminary Exam call letter
Authenticated photo ID proof copy
Main Examination call letter
Two recent passport-size photographs
Failure to present any of these documents will result in disqualification from the examination hall. SBI officials will collect the documents during the verification process.
The declaration of the Clerk Prelims results marks another milestone in the bank’s recruitment cycle, drawing thousands of aspirants closer to securing one of the most sought-after positions in the Indian banking sector. With the Mains exam scheduled in mid-November, candidates now have limited time to strengthen their preparation strategies and review key concepts to ensure success.
