UP Police Home Guard Written Exam Dates 2025 Announced for 41,424 Posts

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially announced the written examination dates for UP Police Home Guard Recruitment 2025, which aims to fill 41,424 vacancies across the state.

According to the notification, the offline written examination will be conducted over three consecutive days — April 25, 26 and 27, 2026.

Home Guards play a vital support role in law enforcement, disaster management and community safety initiatives in Uttar Pradesh. The large number of vacancies has attracted strong interest from aspirants across the state.


UP Police Home Guard Written Exam Pattern

The written test will consist of 100 objective-type questions, covering:

  • General Knowledge

  • Current Affairs

  • Uttar Pradesh-specific topics

  • National issues

Each question will carry one mark, and candidates will be given two hours to complete the exam. To qualify for the next stage, candidates must score a minimum of 25% marks.

The exam is designed to assess general awareness, reasoning ability and understanding of social and historical contexts.


Selection Process

Candidates must clear the following stages to be considered for final selection:

  1. Written Examination – April 25 to 27, 2026

  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Tests stamina through running and jumping

  3. Physical Standard Test (PST) – Measures height, chest and other physical criteria

  4. Document Verification – Verification of eligibility and certificates

  5. Medical Examination – Assessment of prescribed health standards


Application Timeline and Admit Card

  • Online applications: November 18 to December 17, 2025

  • Correction window: December 18 to 21, 2025

Candidates who successfully completed the application process will be able to download their admit cards from the official UPPRPB website once released. Entry to the exam centre will be permitted only with a printed admit card and a valid photo ID.


Preparation Advice for Aspirants

Candidates are advised to focus on current affairs, general awareness and basic reasoning, while regularly practising mock tests to improve speed and accuracy. For the physical tests, maintaining consistent fitness training and meeting standard benchmarks in advance will be crucial.

Aspirants should also monitor official updates regarding exam centres and reporting schedules to avoid last-minute issues.
