DRDO Internship 2025: Six-Month Paid Research Training Opens for Engineering & Science Students

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has opened applications for its Paid Internship Programme 2025, offering six-month research opportunities for final-year engineering and science students. Two premier DRDO labs — Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur (DLJ) and the Scientific Analysis Group (SAG), Delhi — will host the interns, providing hands-on experience in advanced defence technologies.

The fully structured internship includes a stipend, mentorship from DRDO scientists, exposure to active R&D projects, and a completion certificate that significantly strengthens academic and career profiles. Applicants must be Indian citizens in the final year of a full-time UG/PG degree (B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc) with strong academic performance. Each lab has separate application deadlines — December 19, 2025 (SAG) and December 23, 2025 (DLJ). Applications can be submitted through DRDO’s official portal at drdo.gov.in.

The programme remains one of the most prestigious pathways for students aiming to build a career in research, defence technology, or high-end engineering roles.
