The much-anticipated mythological epic Ramayana took centre stage at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, where actors Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra unveiled the film before a global audience.
The event marked one of the biggest international showcases for the upcoming Indian film, with the cast sharing insights into the vision, scale and challenges of adapting one of India's most revered epics for the big screen.
During the panel discussion, Yash, who portrays Ravana, spoke highly of Ranbir Kapoor's performance as Lord Ram.
Calling it one of the most demanding roles an actor can undertake, Yash praised Ranbir's dedication and preparation for the character.
According to Yash, portraying Lord Ram requires immense sincerity and commitment, adding that audiences would witness a performance rooted in purpose, sacrifice and authenticity when the film releases.
