CBSE Class 12 Special Exams 2026 for West Asia Students: Dates, Eligibility and Subjects

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct fresh Class 12 examinations for eligible students in West Asian countries whose 2026 board exams could not be held due to the prevailing regional situation. The special examinations will cover 40 subjects, including 20 academic and 20 skill-based subjects.

The exams are open to regular and private candidates whose results were declared under the Assessment Scheme after the original examinations were cancelled. Eligible students can choose the subjects they wish to take, and the marks obtained in the fresh examination will become final, replacing their earlier assessment-based results.

Regular candidates whose List of Candidates was submitted for the 2026 Main Examinations and eligible private candidates who submitted their examination forms can apply. The submission window is September 22 to 26, 2026, and no examination fee will be charged.

The examinations will be held only in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, with existing examination centres retained. The schedule and date sheet will be announced after the forms are submitted.

Students who were absent from the Main Examinations for any reason, as well as new candidates who did not appear in the 2026 exams, will not be eligible. No subject changes or post-result declaration facilities will be permitted, and CBSE has said the deadline will not be extended.
