CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship: Deadline Extended to November 20
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for the Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship Scheme. Eligible students can now submit their applications till November 20, 2025 through the official website cbse.gov.in.
The renewal application portal for beneficiaries selected in 2024 has also been reopened to allow continued financial assistance.
Purpose of the Scholarship
The initiative supports meritorious single girl children who have:

Passed Class 10 CBSE examinations with 70% or above

Are currently studying in Class 11 or 12 in a CBSE-affiliated school
It aims to promote girls’ education and encourage academic excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship:

| Annual Family Income | ≤ ₹8 lakh |
| Documentation | Notarised income declaration + verified fee slip |
For renewal, applicants must score at least 70% in Class 11 and be promoted to Class 12.
