Dhurandhar 2 Teased: Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun Drop Cryptic 12:12 Update

The anticipation around Dhurandhar 2 has intensified after lead actor Ranveer Singh, co-star Sara Arjun, and director Aditya Dhar shared a cryptic update on social media, hinting that the first official glimpse of the sequel is imminent.

On Monday evening, the trio posted an Instagram story that simply read, “Tomorrow (February 3), 12:12.” The minimal message, devoid of any additional visuals or captions, quickly sparked widespread speculation among fans, with many interpreting it as the scheduled time for the release of the film’s teaser or first-look reveal. The post soon began trending across fan pages, further amplifying excitement around the upcoming sequel.

While the makers have not officially confirmed what will be unveiled at 12:12, the timing and coordinated posts from the film’s core team suggest a carefully planned promotional move. With Dhurandhar 2 slated for a March theatrical release, industry watchers believe the teaser launch would mark the beginning of an aggressive marketing campaign.

Director Aditya Dhar has previously addressed fan curiosity around the teaser’s release. In response to growing speculation that the teaser might debut alongside Border 2, Dhar clarified that the team was not tying the reveal to any other film. He reshared a fan-created meme urging him to release the teaser soon and added a reassuring note stating that it would arrive “in a few days.” The latest 12:12 post now appears to confirm that the wait is nearly over.

The sequel follows the massive success of the first film, Dhurandhar, which released in December 2025. The film went on to become the highest-grossing Bollywood release of the year, reportedly earning over Rs 1,300 crore worldwide. Its strong theatrical run was followed by sustained viewership after its release on Netflix, further cementing its blockbuster status.

The original Dhurandhar featured an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan. Set against the backdrop of covert Indian operations, the film wove fictional storytelling with references to real-life incidents such as the IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

Titled Dhurandhar 2 – The Revenge, the sequel is expected to expand the narrative scope while raising the stakes further. Though plot details remain tightly under wraps, the upcoming teaser is likely to offer the first insight into the direction of the story and the evolution of Ranveer Singh’s character.

The film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, and will face stiff box-office competition from Toxic starring Yash, and Dacoit led by Adivi Sesh. With the countdown now officially underway, all eyes are on February 3 at 12:12.
