Diljit Dosanjh turned his historic Wembley Stadium concert into a tribute to one of South Asia’s most influential musical voices, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. During the London show, the Punjabi singer performed the iconic “Sanson Ki Mala”, creating an emotional moment as thousands of fans illuminated the stadium with their phone lights.

The performance quickly emerged as one of the highlights of the concert, with clips circulating online and fans describing the rendition as deeply moving. The audience swayed along while holding up their phones, creating a sea of lights across Wembley.

The tribute was particularly significant because it took place during a major milestone in Dosanjh’s career. He became the first Indian artist to perform at Wembley Stadium, with the concert reportedly attended by around 92,000 people. Amid the scale and celebration surrounding the event, his decision to honour Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan brought a more intimate tone to the evening.

Dosanjh’s show was reported to have attracted approximately 92,000 people.

The singer also revealed what comes next in his global touring journey. During the concert on Saturday, September 12, he announced that Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will be the next stop on his Aura World Tour.

The Wembley performance marked another step in Dosanjh’s international rise. Over the past two decades, he has built a global audience and expanded his presence beyond Punjabi music, including collaborations with international artists such as Ed Sheeran. He has also received recognition from international entertainment personalities, with Jimmy Fallon previously introducing him as one of the biggest Punjabi artists in the world.
