Hanuman Ansh Crosses Rs 150 Crore as Vivek Agnihotri Congratulates Director Vishal Chaturvedi

Vivek Agnihotri has congratulated Hanuman Ansh director Vishal Chaturvedi after the low-budget spiritual drama crossed the Rs 150 crore mark at the Indian box office.

The filmmaker shared a heartfelt message for Chaturvedi on social media, expressing his happiness over the film's unexpected success and wishing the director continued blessings, health and success.

Agnihotri had earlier praised Chaturvedi's work while sharing the trailer of Hanuman Ansh. He described him as a talented storyteller and encouraged audiences to watch the film based on the life and spiritual journey associated with Neem Karoli Baba.

Hanuman Ansh crossed the Rs 150 crore milestone in India during its 32nd day in theatres. The film continued its strong run in its fifth week, recording impressive collections despite beginning its theatrical journey with a relatively modest opening.

According to trade figures, the film earned Rs 9.50 crore nett on its fifth Monday, taking its India gross collection to Rs 155.65 crore and nett collection to Rs 131.63 crore. A day earlier, the film recorded its biggest single-day collection since release, earning Rs 22.75 crore nett on Day 31.

The strong performance has been particularly notable because Hanuman Ansh was reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 2 crore. Positive word of mouth and growing audience interest in its spiritual theme helped the film gain momentum in the weeks following its release.

The success of Hanuman Ansh is now set to extend beyond India, with the film scheduled for an overseas theatrical release on September 11.

Based on the life of spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba, Hanuman Ansh stars Shobhinaw Satyaa in the lead role. The film has been written, directed and produced by Vishal Chaturvedi.

With its continued box office momentum and upcoming international release, Hanuman Ansh has emerged as one of the most surprising theatrical success stories of the year.
