The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Exam City Intimation Slip for candidates appearing in the UGC NET June 2026 examination. Candidates can now check and download their allotted examination city details through the official UGC NET portal.
The announcement comes ahead of the nationwide examination scheduled to be conducted on multiple dates across the country. The city intimation slip is intended to help candidates make travel and accommodation arrangements in advance before the release of the official admit card.
NTA has advised all registered candidates to log in using their application credentials and verify the details of their allotted examination city.
According to the public notice issued by the National Testing Agency on June 10, 2026, the UGC-NET June 2026 examination will be conducted across various examination centres in India on the following dates:
The examination is conducted for determining eligibility for Assistant Professor positions, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and admission to PhD programmes in universities and higher educational institutions across India.
Candidates can access their Examination City Intimation Slip by visiting the official UGC NET website and logging into their account using their application number and password.
The city intimation slip provides information about the city where the examination centre has been allotted. This allows candidates to prepare their travel plans and avoid last-minute difficulties.
NTA has urged candidates to download the slip as early as possible and carefully review the details.
The National Testing Agency has clarified that the Examination City Intimation Slip should not be treated as the official admit card.
The document only informs candidates about the city where their examination centre will be located. Details such as the exact examination centre address, reporting time, shift information, and examination instructions will be available later through the official admit card.
Candidates should wait for a separate notification regarding the release of the UGC NET June 2026 Admit Card.
Candidates facing difficulties while downloading the Examination City Intimation Slip have been advised to contact NTA through its official support channels.
The agency has also requested candidates to regularly visit the official website for the latest updates regarding admit cards, examination schedules, guidelines, and other important announcements.
Officials emphasized that candidates should rely only on official notifications and avoid misinformation circulating on social media platforms.
UGC NET remains one of India's most important national-level examinations for higher education and research opportunities. With the release of the city intimation slip, candidates now have an opportunity to plan their travel and examination preparations more effectively.
The admit card is expected to be released separately in the coming days. Aspirants are encouraged to stay updated through official NTA communication channels and complete all necessary preparations before the examination dates.
