Palaash Muchhal Seen in Public After Postponed Wedding With Smriti Mandhana

Music composer Palaash Muchhal made his first public appearance on Monday following the sudden postponement of his wedding with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana. The composer was spotted at the airport with his mother, Amita Muchhal, days after reports of a health scare that led to the deferment of the ceremony.

Dressed in an all-black outfit and holding a book, Palaash appeared calm as he exited the terminal, accompanied by security personnel. While he refrained from interacting with the paparazzi, he did not attempt to hide from the cameras. In circulating videos, his mother is seen greeting someone at the airport gate before the two proceed toward their vehicle.

The couple were originally scheduled to get married on November 23, but the wedding was postponed after Palaash experienced a sudden bout of illness. Shortly after, Smriti Mandhana's father also suffered a medical emergency, prompting the families to mutually delay the celebrations.

Palaash was initially admitted to a hospital in Sangli, before being shifted to Mumbai for further medical evaluation. Dr Dipendra Tripathi, speaking to Midday, clarified that the symptoms appeared to be “stress-related distress” rather than a serious cardiac incident.

Both Palaash and Smriti have remained silent amid speculation, refraining from issuing any official statement about the postponement. The lack of communication has fuelled curiosity and rumours on social media, although close sources suggest the families are prioritising health and recovery.
