Palaash Muchhal Smriti Mandhana Wedding Called Off: Composer Deletes Proposal Video After Announcement

Music composer Palaash Muchhal and Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana have formally announced the cancellation of their wedding, which was originally scheduled for November 24. Following their public statements on December 7, Muchhal removed the widely circulated proposal video and a World Cup celebration clip featuring Mandhana from his Instagram account. Mandhana also deleted images and videos from their pre-wedding festivities, marking a digital step back from the relationship.

The couple’s decision comes after days of speculation surrounding their postponed wedding. Initially, the ceremony was delayed due to a health emergency involving Mandhana’s father, who was hospitalised on the wedding day. Shortly after, Muchhal also faced a health issue, contributing to growing uncertainty and online rumours.

In a statement shared on social media, Palaash Muchhal expressed that he has chosen to “move on” from the relationship, emphasising the emotional difficulty of dealing with public scrutiny. He wrote that baseless rumours had added to an already challenging period and urged people to refrain from passing judgment without verified information.

Smriti Mandhana also issued a statement confirming that the wedding had been officially called off. Describing herself as a private person, she requested that the public respect the privacy of both families during this period. Mandhana reiterated her commitment to her cricketing career, stating that her focus remains on representing India and striving for further achievements.

Both Muchhal and Mandhana have appealed for understanding as they navigate the situation and move forward personally and professionally.
