Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi to personally invite him to their wedding and reception. Photographs from the meeting have now gone viral on social media, drawing attention from fans across the country.
The interaction reportedly took place a few days before the couple’s wedding ceremony in Udaipur. Rashmika and Vijay got married on February 26 at ITC Mementos in an intimate celebration attended by close friends and family members.
During the meeting, the couple presented Amit Shah with a formal wedding invitation card along with a silver idol of Lord Ganesh placed inside an ornate box. The gesture reflected traditional Indian customs, where Lord Ganesha is considered auspicious and symbolic of new beginnings.
Photos from the visit show the actors warmly greeting the Home Minister, smiling as they handed over the invitation. Rashmika opted for a mustard salwar suit styled with open hair and minimal makeup, while Vijay wore an ivory Indo-western outfit, keeping the look elegant and understated.
The meeting quickly became a trending topic online, with fans sharing the pictures widely.
Ahead of the wedding, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his best wishes to the couple. In a congratulatory letter addressed to Vijay’s parents, he conveyed warm greetings to both the Deverakonda and Mandanna families.
In his message, Modi described the marriage as a “new, beautiful chapter” in their lives. He wished the couple a future filled with shared dreams, mutual respect, and companionship. His note highlighted how their real-life partnership would shine beyond their on-screen performances.
The wedding itself was a private affair held at the luxury property ITC Mementos in Udaipur. The ceremony followed Telugu and Kodava traditions. Several prominent names from the film industry attended the celebration, including director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and actors Kalyani Priyadarshan and Eesha Rebba, among others.
The couple, who first met on the sets of the film Geetha Govindam in 2018, kept their relationship largely private over the years. Their wedding has since become one of the most talked-about celebrity events of the year.
With political leaders extending congratulations and viral images capturing the invitation moment, Rashmika and Vijay’s wedding celebrations continue to dominate headlines.
