Rashmika Mandanna Credits Partner for Healing and Growth

Rashmika Mandanna has opened up about a deeply personal aspect of her life, acknowledging that her partner has played a crucial role in her emotional healing. Speaking during promotions for her latest hit The Girlfriend, the actor reflected on the importance of healthy relationships and moving on from past pain.

In a candid interaction with host Suma Kanakala after the film’s release, Rashmika said no one should remain in a relationship out of compulsion or fear. “Choose who you want to be with. You shouldn’t be in a position where you have no choice. I have been in that situation,” she shared. “Today, when I choose to be with a person, I am happy, that person is happy, and everyone around is happy.”

Drawing parallels between her personal journey and her character Bhooma in The Girlfriend, Rashmika revealed that her current partner has been instrumental in helping her overcome earlier emotional wounds.

“Luckily, I have a partner who healed me from a pain he didn’t cause,” she said. “Just like Bhooma, he helped me heal. This film has been significant for me, and he has played an equally important part.”

Although she did not name her partner, her remarks align with ongoing public curiosity around her relationship with actor Vijay Deverakonda. The two have made several joint appearances, sparking speculation over engagement plans and wedding preparations. Rashmika was reportedly seen scouting potential venues, though the couple has maintained strict privacy about their personal milestones.

Sources close to the duo suggest they have supported each other through periods of intense public scrutiny, including online trolling. Rashmika mentioned that her partner often encourages her not to overthink negativity that lacks substance.

Vijay Deverakonda’s presence at The Girlfriend celebration event—where he was seen warmly interacting with Rashmika—has only added to the buzz.

Directed by Rahul Ravindran, The Girlfriend features Rashmika in a powerful role centred on healing, autonomy, and reclaiming emotional strength, with performances by Deekshith Shetty, Anu Emmanuel and Rao Ramesh supporting the narrative.
