Tiger Shroff Called Salman Khan the Real Tiger of Bollywood, Compared Himself to a Billi

Tiger Shroff’s playful 2022 remark calling Salman Khan Bollywood’s real Tiger has resurfaced after gunmen allegedly opened fire at the younger actor’s car in Mumbai.

Tiger Shroff once called Salman Khan Bollywood’s real Tiger and jokingly compared himself to a cat.

Tiger Shroff once declared that Salman Khan was the only real “Tiger” in Bollywood, jokingly describing himself as a cat in comparison. The actor’s light-hearted remark from a 2022 song launch has resurfaced following a firing incident involving his car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18, 2026.

At the launch of DaFa Kar, a song from his film Heropanti 2, Tiger praised Salman’s larger-than-life action-hero image. He said there was only one Tiger in the industry and that Salman deserved the title, while comparing himself to Simba, a young tiger cub.

The comment reflected Tiger’s admiration for the senior actor, whose screen presence and action roles have made him one of Bollywood’s most recognisable stars.

Why Salman Khan Is Bollywood’s Original Tiger

Salman’s association with the name Tiger comes largely from his popular spy-action franchise. He first played Indian intelligence agent Avinash Singh Rathore, known as Tiger, in Ek Tha Tiger in 2012. He reprised the role in Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017 and Tiger 3 in 2023.

The character became one of Salman’s most recognisable screen identities, combining high-octane action with the actor’s established mass appeal.

Salman has also acknowledged Tiger Shroff’s dedication to fitness and action. In 2021, he named the younger actor among the performers who motivated him to continue pushing his physical limits as he grew older.

Their mutual admiration has added context to Tiger’s earlier joke, which presented the title as Salman’s alone.

Six Arrested After Firing Incident in Mumbai

The old remark has returned to public attention after gunmen allegedly fired at Tiger Shroff’s car near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu on October 18. The actor reportedly escaped unhurt, while his driver and a fan were injured.

Police have arrested six men in connection with the incident. Three alleged shooters, identified as Rehan, Phool Singh and Ritik, were reportedly arrested in Kota, Rajasthan. Three other men were arrested in Sonipat, Haryana, on allegations of helping plan and facilitate the attack.

Investigators are examining CCTV footage, hotel records and other evidence. Police suspect that reconnaissance and arrangements for weapons were part of the alleged conspiracy. The accused remain subject to legal proceedings.

Investigation Examines Possible Wider Links

According to the report, investigators are also examining alleged links involving US-based gangster Anil Pandit and associates connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A person reportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting and issued threats against Salman Khan and people associated with him.

The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations have yet to be established through the legal process. Meanwhile, Tiger’s earlier words about Salman have resurfaced as a reminder of the respect he has publicly expressed for the veteran star.
