Usha Vance Breaks Silence After Ringless Photo Sparks Speculation
US Second Lady Usha Vance has addressed a new wave of speculation about her marriage after photos surfaced of her without her wedding ring during a visit to Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. The images, taken on November 19 while she accompanied First Lady Melania Trump, quickly went viral on social media, fueling rumours of tension between her and Vice President JD Vance.
Close-up shots showing her bare left hand set off widespread chatter online, reviving earlier gossip surrounding the couple. Some users interpreted the missing ring as a sign of marital strain, while others simply turned it into fodder for jokes.
Her office moved swiftly to shut down the speculation. Speaking to People, a spokesperson said Usha, the mother of three young children, frequently goes without the ring during her daily routine. “She does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and sometimes forgets her ring,” the spokesperson clarified.
The renewed attention comes after months of scrutiny surrounding the couple’s public interactions. Earlier, a video of JD Vance warmly embracing Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, had gone viral. Erika introduced Vance at a Turning Point USA event, saying she saw “similarities” between her late husband and the Vice President — remarks that quickly amplified public curiosity.
More conversations emerged when Vance stated at another event that he hopes his wife, who is Hindu, eventually embraces Catholicism, the faith he adopted in 2019.
Usha and JD Vance met at Yale Law School and married in 2014. They share three children — Ewan, 8, Vivek, 5, and Mirabel, 3 — and have largely kept their family life private despite growing national visibility.
