Allu Arjun Provides ₹3.2 Crore Aid to Pushpa 2 Stampede Victim, Promises Continued Support

Allu Arjun Provides ₹3.2 Crore Aid to Pushpa 2 Stampede Victim, Promises Continued Support

A year after the tragic Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere stampede that left eight-year-old Sritej severely injured and claimed the life of his mother, questions over promised financial aid resurfaced when the child’s father, Bhaskar, alleged that Allu Arjun’s team had stopped responding to his requests for further assistance.

To address the concerns, Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman and producer Dil Raju met Bhaskar and released a clarification video detailing the support extended so far.

Dil Raju stated that Allu Arjun had already provided ₹3.2 crore to the family over the past year. This includes ₹2 crore deposited to generate a monthly payout of ₹75,000 for medical and living expenses, and ₹1.5 crore kept in a fixed deposit in the child’s name.

He added that nearly ₹70 lakh had been spent on medical treatment and rehabilitation. “The boy is recovering well, but the family needs additional support. I assured Bhaskar that I would speak with Aravind Garu. Allu Arjun will extend help,” Raju said.

After their meeting, Bhaskar clarified that fresh support had been approved. “I need help for my child’s rehabilitation for at least six months. They have agreed to cover all medical expenses,” he said, acknowledging that assistance would continue even if rehabilitation takes a year.

The tragedy occurred on December 4, 2024, during a special Pushpa 2 premiere at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, where one person died and several were injured in a stampede.

Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil and remains one of the most anticipated films from Telugu cinema.
