CAT 2025 Exam: What to Carry and What Not to Bring on November 30

With CAT 2025 scheduled for November 30, IIM Kozhikode has issued strict exam-day guidelines that candidates must follow to avoid any disruption. The exam will be conducted in three two-hour sessions, and the admit card available at iimcat.ac.in contains crucial details such as reporting time, gate closing time, session slot, exam centre and important instructions.

What to Carry

  • Printed CAT 2025 admit card (A4 size) with the same recent photograph used in the application.

  • Original valid photo ID: Aadhaar, PAN card, or Indian passport.

  • Scribe affidavit (only for approved candidates).

Items Not Allowed

Candidates must strictly avoid carrying:

  • Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, electronic gadgets

  • Watches (digital or analog)

  • Metallic jewellery, accessories

  • Footwear with thick soles

  • Clothes with large buttons

  • Wallets, stationery, calculators, goggles, or any personal items

Important Do’s & Don’ts

  • Reach the centre with your printed admit card and original ID.

  • Fix the correct photograph on the admit card before entering the centre.

  • After the exam, drop your admit card, pen, and scribble pad in the designated box.

  • The test must be attempted only using the mouse; using the keyboard will lock the system immediately.

  • Candidates must accept the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before starting the test, forbidding sharing or reproducing any exam content.

A valid CAT 2025 score will enable candidates to apply for postgraduate management programmes across the IIMs and other participating institutions.
