Karan Wahi Breaks Silence on Uditi Singh Breakup, Says Marriage Plans Were Misconstrued

The Karan Wahi breakup has returned to the spotlight after the television actor responded to Uditi Singh’s account of their past relationship. Wahi said he entered the relationship hoping it would eventually lead to marriage, but stressed that the couple never finalised wedding plans.

Speaking to YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Wahi explained that he was around 33 or 34 when the relationship began and wanted a partnership with a clear future.

He clarified that his intention to marry Uditi had been interpreted as meaning that their wedding was imminent. According to the actor, the couple ultimately lacked the compatibility needed to sustain the relationship.

Wahi described this as his personal understanding of why things did not work out, while acknowledging that the relationship had ended.

Uditi Singh Recalls Arguments During Lockdown

Uditi, who is currently appearing on Bigg Boss 20, previously discussed the breakup inside the reality show's house. She recalled that the couple got a golden retriever during the COVID-19 lockdown, but disagreements about cleanliness became a recurring source of tension.

She explained that both were concerned about hygiene during the pandemic but had different approaches to keeping their surroundings clean.

Uditi also alleged that Wahi could be dominant and that some of his comments left her feeling discouraged. She said he would sometimes tell her that she did not know how to do certain things or would be unable to accomplish them.

According to Uditi, these interactions contributed to arguments and affected how she felt within the relationship. Her account reflects her perspective on the difficulties they experienced.

Uditi Says the Relationship Was Serious

Uditi also recalled moving to India during the lockdown and looking for employment at a multinational company so she could remain closer to Wahi. She said they had been serious about dating and had discussed marriage before eventually separating.

The relationship lasted more than two years and ended in 2022. While Uditi has spoken about their disagreements and how she felt during the relationship, Wahi has emphasised their incompatibility and clarified that marriage was an intention rather than a confirmed arrangement.

Wahi is known for television shows including Remix, Dill Mill Gayye and Kuch Toh Log Kahenge. He has also appeared on reality shows such as Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
